Gabriel DeLong

Gabriel DeLong (he/his/him) is a research and project manager with Project Support at Wayne State University. DeLong co-created created an online intervention program that addresses LGBTQ+ culture-specific mental health needs, including distress tolerance, crisis management, mindfulness, and understanding of the importance of a mental health plan. DeLong holds a doctoral limit license (DTLLP) and works with Cruz Clinic in Michigan. While he works with general mental health issues, DeLong specializes in body image dissatisfaction, eating disorders, LGBTQ+ culture specific issues, assessing and treating ADHD in adolescents, LGBT youth safety, and safe school climates. DeLong has been an education volunteer at the National Foundation for Suicide Prevention, providing workshops for parents and youth.  DeLong has served as a leader and mentor for LGBT youth, a choreographer, and dance instructor. He enjoys enriching therapy sessions by incorporating his performance art background. 

DeLong is a graduate of Penn State University, where he holds a B.A. in psychology. He is currently a doctoral student at Wayne State University in counseling psychology.
